    WONDERFUL STAY
    Booked VFL for 3 nights stay for my parents. Jared was remarkable with his communication with me from day one until my parents arrived. He upgraded their room with no additional cost. They simply loved the place. Sadly, upon checkout, they only noticed there was a menu that they could order from the kitchen. The pool wasn't too clean but it could be because there was rain the week that they visited. The rooms had aircon, which was a relief and a lovely, big, comfortable bed with kettle, tv, and view of the pool. This place was monies worth. I usually travel with them, but I was happy with the assistance from Jared, and I know that they were going to be well taken care of if any issues arose. Give VFL a try. I know we will for a quick, inexpensive trip.

    VIRGINIA FOREST LODGE.. A FOREST DWELLING
    Location is in up market
    The house was smelly. Overcrowded with rowdy kids drinking and making noise. The room was not private. The reception was uncomfortable. Then there was lots of cockroaches in the room. In tue bathroom in the microwave all over. The were dirty ash trays and cups on tables outside. The noise was inconsiderate to our needs. My surprise is despite updating the facility about our delayed arrival due to road travel, they queried us for late arrival 21h00?? They advertise on app that they will take payment at facility but then send a private message to ask for a small deposit tp reserve the room. I find this to be dishonest. Why not ask for payment upfront. They say guests don't pitch but then why not say on app payment upfront The appearance of the 2 guys who say they are managing the place was not appetizing. It seemed they were part of whatever was going on. It was not professional at all. They did apologize though and money refunded. They refused to pay for the cab we had to take becos we couldn't stay.

    Very nice and cozy property with friendly owners. Clean, lovely room with huge bed and big shower
    I liked the hospitality was fine,free to use kitchen, swimming pool anytime of the day,you can braai at your own time and is a quiet area.
    Swimming was not 100% clean it has dirt at the bottom and the driveway was full of old tree leaf but beside anything it is a nice place.

    A good place to be.
    I like the place. enjoyed the pool. the staff was friendly. Virginia is quite a good place for relaxation. i will definitely recommend the place to people who wish to visit Durban. I am definitely coming back for more days.
