Exceptional

Everywhere was clean, staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast now has instant coffee as well as the machine coffee which was a nice addition for those who do not like strong coffee (like myself). Hotel parking is easy. Not our first stay, and definitely not our last.

No complaints.

Superb

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and spotless and the breakfasts were just amazing. As a solo traveller I could highly recommend the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel.

We were very happy with our stay at The Golden Tulip and would certainly recommend it.

Excellent location, in a quiet area but only a 5 minute walk to all the restaurants, bars, transport and shops. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. Food was also very good and reasonably priced.

The basin in the bathroom was inclined to drain very slowly. There was an issue with the door on the wardrobe but it was promptly fixed when we told reception. A second armchair would have been nice as there was only one.

Disappointing

There was maintenance in the hotel ( painting) however no signs! We ruined our clothes and no care was given by anyone! Obviously, they did put the signs on after but we had to throw away our clothes which got ruined. Clearly, even the receptionist was advised we know for a fact, but no one approached us! Like animals we felt.

I didn't like the fact that check out was at 11. Usually hotels' checking out is at 12. When I asked for a late check out at 12.30 they asked me to pay 15 euros. The room was for 40 euros that night and for me to pay 15 for an extra hour and a half is absurd to be honest. But unfortunately I had to

Lacking any positives

Foyer was nice enough, though once you head up to floors/bedrooms you can see that they are in serious need of renovation, shower was dodgy to get started, room stank of cigarettes and no hairdryer in room, and was quite noisy. Was expecting some sort of double glazing considering location. Arrived at the hotel at 9.30pm after a long day of travelling. Asked receptionist about food options and was told I could order room service till 10pm, got up to room and called room service and was told I could not serve us, as theyd stopped taking orders. I said that it wasnt yet 10pm, as was told that chef had turned ovens off and was refusing to prepare anything.
