    Friendly welcome with local pub recommendations. The cottage itself, beautifully renovated - the right side of 'modern' and 'country'. Privacy.

    The property is a good size for two people who need somewhere to stay of a few nights. The rooms are modern, tidy and comfortably warm with a parking space out front. There are numerous places to eat and the property is within easy travel to Keswick and Penrith. Off the beaten track so peaceful, plus local footpaths.

    Lovely place to stay for a short break in the Lake District.
    Widewath Barn is a lovely spacious cottage with a well equipped kitchen. It is in a very quiet but convenient location. All the places we visited were no more than 20 minutes drive away. Alice and George were great hosts.
    The TV was small and not a smart TV.

    Fun country adventures. Car needed as it is a little way out of any local town.
    The cleanliness of the property was phenomenal. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and thoughtful. It was such a cute little farm and we enjoyed the sheep, rams and doggies
    We had originally booked it for three of us thinking it looked like there were three different rooms (by the pictures). One of our friends couldnt come so there were two of us in the end which was probably good as the beds are all in one room.

    Fabulous family stay - new adventures had !
    Start to finish just the best experience! The hosts are great and couldnt be more accommodating! The barn is fabulous and has just enough space for everyone whilst still being cosy. Great location with views that are out of this world. Just enough out of the way to enjoy while still being local villages near by
