Wild Coast Lodge’s design uses arched fabric structures that allows the tents to take on the shape and colour of the rocks and boulders that lay scattered nearby, whilst a clever layout in the shape of a leopard’s paw print alludes to the area’s most famous resident. While the main buildings, made of bamboo, blend in with the distinctive rock formations of Yala, the air-conditioned tents offer state-of-the art amenities. The open-air bamboo-clad Ten Tuskers bar and Dining Pavilion wrap around the resort’s free-form swimming pool. Guests can enjoy creative daily-changing menus of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in the restaurant, as well as sundowner cocktails and picnics al fresco on the sand dunes, watching dusk settle over the Indian Ocean. this space was beautiful and staff was exceptional- very kind, friendly, and helpful. super beautiful eco lodge with unique design and delicious interesting food! also very close to the national park which made safaris very interesting- safari guides were great as well.

beware that december is the rainy season- the road to/from the resort ended up washed out as we were leaving which made it more challenging to leave. the rain also prevented us from using some of the facilities- would recommend going in the dry season for the full experience!

Incredibly special place, a must visit!

We just stayed for 3 nights at the Wild Coast to kickstart our honeymoon and have been blown away by this place it is pure magic! The service is exceptional, the food exquisite and the safari experience was fabulous. We were lucky to see leopards twice out of three safari journeys which was another big highlight. This place is faultless, the staff cant do more for you and you really must visit. Special thanks goes to Rukshan and Eric and the whole dining team, Buddhi our ranger and Sandaruwan who looked after us during our stay.

Unique property, great hospitality!

One of the most uniquely and beautifully designed properties we have stayed in. It's literally like someone has tried to put the cocoons there without disturbing the surrounding nature, which is a rare feat in today's times. We stayed in the family cocoon which has a private pool. The room is fantastic with a vintage / Victorian design aesthetic inside. There are so many small touches that make you realize the seriousness towards sustainability. The stay is all inclusive and has a laundry inclusion as well, which was great for us. We also had a safari included that was great too! Adding to the beautiful design is their amazing service and hospitality! Rohan was great and always available. Tilshan in the restaurant was superb with his service. As we were celebrating a special occasion, the staff organized a special table for us by the beach, under the stars and it was just amazing! The food across all the meals was great too, their cactus, passion fruit chilli and salted caramel ice creams were some of the best I've ever had! Overall, a great choice for a stay at the Yala National park.

Magic in Yala

Absolutely everything! This place is a little slice of heaven. The experience was magical! On arrival we were greeted by the manager Megha and our personal curator Hasindu. Wed arrived at 12 noon to enjoy lunch prior to our safari and we were delighted that our room was already prepared for us! The all inclusive option really is all inclusive with breakfast, 3 course lunch, daily afternoon tea, cocktail hour, evening meal and even snacks on safari! Safe to say youll need a stretchy pair of jeans as the food is truly exceptional. The rooms are so beautiful with every amenity thought of from postcards, to inclusive mini bar and even mosquito spray! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Hasindu checked in regularly to make sure we were ok! He also helped us to resolve an issue with our airline - going above and beyond! This is all before I even mention being on the beautiful beach and the fantastic safaris - led by knowledgeable guides and drivers! We will 100% be going back!
