Very good

Room was very nice. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was very nice.

Entry way into new block feels like you are walking through a community centre, not a hotel. Bar area is very small.

Exceptional

It's always a pleasure to stay at the Wivenhoe House. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are always amazing. We have been lucky to have always been placed in the main house, where the rooms have older features. Our room for this stay included massive windows, and a fireplace. As well as a massive bathroom complete with a bath. Breakfast is also always nice, typically being a full English buffet breakfast. With made to order coffees. As this trip was for Christmas the hotel was good beautifully decorated. They also hung a stocking with some gifts on our door Christmas eve night.

Normally excellent but the noise and lack of restaurant left us disappointed

There was a party going on and it was very loud that we couldnt sleep. Also, due to the party the restaurant was closed. We should have been notified at the time of booking as we had to go back out to get some dinner.

Very pleasant stay at an excellent hotel.

The staff were excellent, the room huge and very quite. In the morning even though we arrived for breakfast 20 mins early they were happy to serve us.
