    Overall set up of the cottages, ambience, lake view was good. Breakfast was also good.
    We had booked a particular boat ride in advance at Sunset. However the person who was in charge of the bookings, booked the same slot for someone else as well without checking the advance booking. the other party was smart enough to grab the chance and took the ride before we could realise. Although the staff apologized, our valuable time was lost and we had to take the ride in dark. It was a very casual handling by the front office and not at all appreciated.

    Apart from a good swimming pool there is nothing in the resort to spend time.Very small space and no open grounds to play games or anything.There is no separate room for playing indoor games like Table Tennis also.

    Abad Whispering palm was a reasonably priced resort at a quite location facing the Vembanad lake. It was the best decision to book the lake faing room which is conveniently location next to the pool and dinning area with a cosy blacony where one could chill. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and wifi was strong. The most wonderful thing about the resort was that one can see the sun setting over the lake from the pool area itself. The afternoon tea and snack from the tea cart next to the pool was wonderful and cheap at only 30 INR. Even though the tea cart staff were very busy but they served with a smile. I skipped the less interesting buffet dinner and ordered crab roast from the ala carte menu instead. It did not disappoint. The crab was sweet even with the heavy and spicy sauce. The drink menu was a bit limited. There was a variety of actitives available but do book in advance especially motorboat or shikara ride as the resort has limited slot. The resort location is about 15 mins tuk tuk ride from Cheepunkal if you wish to rent your own shikara. The manager saw me and was friendly to make conversation, making recommendations about activities to do.

    Excellent friendly staff. Staff always asking if we need anything or checking everything is ok. Highly recommend. Lovely grounds, swimming pool and rooms. Only negative is there is nowhere to walk out to for food. But we only stayed for 4 nights and were here for relaxing. Food in the restaurant is really good
