    Very good
Very happy all round and would definitelfy stay again.
A boutique hotel located in quiet Wakefield Street between Hutt Street and Frome Street in the city. Hotel lobby and rooms are tastefully furbished and on the second and third floors there are quite impressive communal kitchens for guests. There is no restaurant or room service but nearby Hutt is full of cafes, pubs and restaurants. I noticed some guests had dogs but am not aware of the conditions around this. I really enjoyed my two night stay and highly recommend the hotel.
    No complaints from me.

Great staff, avoid rooms next to elevator, breakfast is a 15-20 minute walk away
Our room was quite spacious and we liked the layout. However there were several issues and the staff was nice enough to give us a new room the next day. We very much appreciated their attention and quick action. Second room was much better.
In our first room, the refrigerator was broken (a towel had been left in it to collect water, I assume), the A/C did not work properly, and we heard a constant rumble noise from the elevator (directly next to the room). In the morning, the staff was nice enough to give us a new room. We very much appreciated their attention and quick action. Second room was much better. Only other downside was the long walk for breakfast--not worth it. We should have just chosen the "room only" option. Also, the hotel does not have parking so be forewarned you will pay to park, either on the street or in a garage.

    Superb
    Quiet, cosy, city gem
The history of the building and how the owners have maintained the vintage feel of the place complimenting period furnishings with modern. The hotel is walking distance to Rundle Mall and the parks, and has a few restaurants nearby for meals. There is also an IGA close by where you can buy supplies and cook your own food in the well-appointed common kitchen areas. The rooms are very quiet, and the block out drapes make it easy to sleep.
Bit of a walk to the bus for the airport, but hardly the fault of the hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms all had a smell so it was impossible to turn off the air conditioner during the entire stay. The bedding also had the smell of sweat.

This is a pet friendly hotel.
We appreciated being on the ground or 1st floor on this occasion. Our stay on a previous trip it appeared the second floor was set aside as pet friendly/dog friendly. Our level 1 room was spacious, quieter and improvement on the one we stayed in before on level 2. More "Hotel" than "Kennel" this time. Pleased to report that it hasn't gone to the dogs completely. Access to a restricted bar service from reception was welcomed.
