For a short stay w/family & kids, the Ala Moana is a great location, beautiful lobby, rooms, etc
Sky bridge to mall was excellent! If my family wanted food court or restaurant food or snacks (boba & other dessert franchises) there was no need to drive off. Front desk staff& bell service were so accommodating & sincere.
Room was a tad tight but still good use of space (but there were 4 of us).

The hotel is very conveniently located close to Ala Moana Center, Don Quijote, lots of restaurants and the beach. It's fairly easy to get to the bus that'll take you to the airport. Staff at the check in desk were polite.
Way too expensive.

Decent hotel for a work trip
Really friendly staff, including the people at the Starbucks located in the lobby. Also, the Starbucks opened at 5:30am!! This was so fantastic for those of us who were there for work and suffering from jetlag.
The room was small and dated, which was fine. I looked at a parking lot out my window, which was fine because I was there for a short work trip. What I paid for that room was totally inconsistent with the quality. I have paid less for beachfront rooms with a view, but it was one of the lower rates available.

Although the room was in need of an update, and very scarce of amenities (no Kleenex, etc) it was comfortable. The balcony view was great and the staff helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay again if visiting Honolulu.
No table in the room to eat breakfast. Could have a few extra amenities like Kleenex.

I was there to visit family so it was perfectly located.
Location was great. Outside of Waikiki which is always congested. Conveniently close to Ala Moana Center for food and shopping.
Room is rather small with no balcony.
