In my opinion it was not anywhere near 4 star hotel, the quality of food the restaurant felt more like a canteen than a restaurant, tables constantly waiting to be cleaned as very few staff but yet anytime you passed through reception there was way more staff in suits than was needed maybe management could move staff around when needed as this would have helped alot.

The resort was really clean and staff we friendly. location is good. close to the airport and walking distance to restaurants and bars. There were some beaches nearby also
The food was basic. The mattresses were hugely uncomfortable. Way too hard for most peoples needs and the whole hotel is incredibly noisy. Due to the materials for the flooring, doors and acoustics there was just constant banging or reverberation from suitcases being pulled along. The hotel is just off the flight path but it wasn't too noticeable

Our lux room was really big and comfortable , bar worked all The time with unlimited drinks, there are much places around swimmings pools, there is even one pool for adults only, with really cosy area. We could have lunch and use bar after check out. That was Nice.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were not s various and food was not always good.

To be honest it would be splitting hairs to complain about what we didn't like.
One thing I would change though is putting a coffee machine in a place where you could serve yourself .
We do it in the restaurant. It would also take pressure off the bar staff.

Disappointing
Alua Atlantico - Hardly a 2.5 STAR, Avoid at all cost - Brings shame to Hyatt name.
1. Location - Close to the airport.
2. Size of the room - Impressed with the size of the room - Our room was Ocean view suite.
3. Pools - The hotel has total of 6 pools including one hot pool.
1. Food quality and options - Horrible experience. Same/similar food all days. There was no taste in any of the food and many times undercooked as well. I was expecting variety of meat/sea food but the only meat they served in abundance was pork. I expected at least sea food Paella one of the days but they served only pork/veg Paella. Very little to no options for vegetarian/vegans. Only one type of juice - orange juice but filled with so much sugar.
2. Dining experience - Because they have 500 rooms and only one restaurant to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, there were long queues. Plus they didn't have enough tables in the restaurant so families had to wait for tables to be free, cleaned and made available to dine. Tea/Coffee machines were switched off during lunch and dinner.
3. Facilities in the room - The cupboard has no shelves in it. How would you use such a cupboard? No iron, no hair conditioner.
4. False marketing - Marketed as included complimentary wine bottle in the room instead we got a bottle of water. Advertised personal concierge/relationship person but other than receptionist spending 2 min to explain the layout, you are on your own.
5. Drink options - Very cheap drinks included in "All inclusive", I expected much better in a 4 Star hotel. All standard brands were paid for extra.
6. Shuttle to local beach - Always have to pre-book, as there is only one bus that goes at 9:30am and one at 3:00pm and always over booked due to number of people in the hotel.
7. Entertainment - The entertainment at this place was a joke. I have seen many 2 stars and 3 stars resorts having great evening entertainment than this place.
8. SECOND CLASS CITIZEN - I have kept this for last but unless you are going as their premium members (memberships are actively sold at the hotel for ,), you will feel treated as second class citizen. There are special areas (incl.
