The views kept our mind off the disappointments.

It was beautiful, the views were really nice, the vibe was super calm. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The some rooms had a certain smell coming from the bathroom that was quite frankly disgusting. The lack of hot water in a place like Rishikesh during December was disappointing, especially in a decent hotel like Raga. My 3-year-old, among the other children in our group, had to shower with cold water and was at a risk of falling sick. Further, on the first day one of our rooms were not given hand towels and when we asked for them, they said theyve run out, and will provide when they are available. Which is understandable but still a let down.

Amazing view but far from being a luxury hotel, very much overpriced for what you get.

The view from the room and gardens of the property are amazing.

I had asked for a quiet room during my reservation and I was given a room adjacent to the kitchen, there was never a quiet moment. At time it seemed like they were doing construction work. We were not able to relax day and night. The staff is nice enough but they are laking experience and professionalism; in the restaurant we had to ask for our empty plates to be cleared from the table, when there were many of them walking right in front of us. The food was very ordinary, as it is a buffet and often not warm enough. When booking with the dinner included, I didnt expect it would be buffet style.

the scenery around the property looks nice, but be forewarned, your reservation may or may not be honored at the last minute. You can take the chance, but I would suggest having a backup plan.

- unhelpful staff and inconvenient location location is far outside the city of Rishikesh and transportation to and from the hotel is an issue. there are very few if any rental cars to be had in this area. I emailed the hotel asking for some information or recommendations about taxis or rental cars and they sent me the phone number of two taxi/rental services that operate from the Dehradun airport even though I asked for information about transport from Haridwar (not at all close to the airport). - unprofessional and dishonest management the hotel canceled my reservation at the last minute (less than two weeks before my trip) despite the fact that I made the reservation 6 months ahead of time and guaranteed it with my credit card. Apparently they decided to rent the property out for a wedding event which is their prerogative - however I cant imagine the wedding was planned only two weeks ahead, so likely the hotel failed to inform me in a timely manner, thus leaving me with very little time to make alternate arrangements. Not only that, but the hotel lied and initially said that my reservation was canceled because I didnt update my credit card information on time (they did sent me an email asking me to update my card, and I made the requested update that very same day). One day later they canceled my reservation and sent me an email asking me why I canceled my reservation. What?! I didnt cancel! All of this caused a lot of confusion and Ive spent hours this week trying to figure out what happened and then trying to find last minute accommodations that are suitable for my needs (of course that means Ill be paying the highest prices now since this is such short notice). The hotels meager attempt to make this right was an offer to change the dates of my stay to the following week.
