    Overpriced property which can be totally avoided
    The property is very good and relaxing amidst nature.
    It is hugely overpriced for the facilities and stay. Not worth the money at all. Food is also just ok. The property is not very accessible from the main points in the city. So if you are looking for a central located accommodation this is not the place you would want to choose. This is only accessible if you have your own vehicle.

    The only thing we liked about the property was the location, the cottages are really beautiful and there are many plants and trees.
    The stay is highly overpriced for what you get, the facilities are super ran down (plugs non working, old and dirty bathroom). The room was also quite dirty. Definitely not a 4 stars resort!

    A lovely stay but dont rely on hotel for transportation
    Its a beautiful hotel. The rooms and atmosphere are lovely. The food is very good if a bit expensive compared to other options. Breakfast was included and was good. Its nice that they have local entertainment. Most of the staff is very helpful and kind.
    Due to the fact that its far from the city centre, it would be amazing if there was an effective way to help guests go to town. We waited nearly an hour for their tuk tuk to get to an appointment, only to find out that they only use one local driver. We were forced to walk in the dark on a busy and uneven street, and we fell and injured ourselves. The next day, they said they were asking local drivers for numbers to have more options in the future. I get the feeling they prefer their guests eat inside the property so they can charge their high costs for food. On top, they didnt clean our room while we were out, but interrupted naps at 17:00! The issue of cleaning happened two of our three days. The staff are generally very lovely, so I would question the ownership and if theyre training their team in delivering service at the cost range they charge.

    Good food and friendly staff
    The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the cultural programmes, it was conducted on both the days we stayed there. We liked the buffet dinner on both days especially the Xmas dinner. We understand the buffet dinners and cultural programmes are available only when the occupancy is good.
    The bathrooms were messy and slippery after a bath (because water flowed everywhere under the shower enclosure) and the bathroom fitting appeared old and unclean. The bedding and towels appeared old and worn out. Some cushions appeared mouldy. The landscaping of the resort could be done better. The children's slides were soiled and looked unmaintained. Just as we were checking out we found that we missed our daughter's cell phone and charger. With the help of resort staff we found them among the bushes, which may have fell out of a bag when the staff got our bags out during checkout.

    Hotel is very nice. First stay was not great but I will stay again now that I know how things work in Periyar.
    The location was amazing. The hotel vive a d the amenity areas and garden were beautiful. The food is good (if you don't want to go to Kumily for food it is a good choice) but it is obviously more expensive than the local restaurants in the village.
    The rooms are nice but the sanitaryware is very old. The bed sheets were very very old. The staff was very polite but they could not help us to book some activities. They did not provide too much information on how things worked in the area which make everything more difficult. Also, language was a barrier.
