    It was just what I needed, bed, shower, TV.
    The mattress basically needed to be replaced. The springs in quarter of it were kaput and caused be to sleep in some convoluted way.

    We have two booked standard double rooms. In the first room the shower was broken In the second one the bed was not the double size, but one and a half. We barely fitted with my husband. Pillows were very uncomfortable and hard

    Old with little upkeep!
    The property is super close to St Marks Square. Easy to get around and they include a free breakfast. Its minimal but a nice way to start your day.
    The smell as you walk into the foyer made my stomach turn each time. The pillows were incredibly thin and when requested more, reception staff said that theyd see what they could do but didnt think they had any. The hair dryer was taped together with sticky tape and didnt work properly. The cupboard was falling apart and when I tried to hang my coat, the whole bar fell out. The property is old yes, but there doesnt appear to have been much maintenance to keep the property tidy and fresh. Everything appears to be a bandaid approach.

    A lot of steps could only get to room by separate entrance, which meant having to go out onto the street and walk to the entrance to lobby. Lifts were unreliable, and I had to call reception on two occasions to reset the lift. Very basic breakfast, no fruit. Was leaving before breakfast on the final day was refused the day before when I asked if we could get a yoghurt from the kitchen. They refused to help bring bags down to reception when departing, and when I requested an alarm call, I was told, " Not making you any promises " Never got the alarm call.

    If it wasn't for the great location I'd say rather poor.
    Location was excellent 20m from St Mark's Sq. Bed comfortable bath/shower good. Restaurant attached to the hotel was friendly and satisfactory.
    Rooms were tired and my brother had to move. TV's didn't work, some electrical didn't work. Welcome at reception wasn't the best - rather peremptory. Breakfast choice narrow - no fruit for example.
