    The breakfast was very nice. The couple who ran it were lovely and very accommodating.
    The room was very small, too small! The sink was hidden in the corner of the room, away from the shower room! I thought I only had a loo and shower! The decor was very dated too, not at all what I was expecting, definitely wouldnt stay in that single room again.

    Calm and restful.
    Breakfast was well above expectations. Lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, even bircher muesli, great jams and a wide choice of hot breakfast dishes cooked to order. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Lovely room with bay window looking over tree lined street.
    En suite was a bit cramped but it's a Victorian house so was what it was.

    Excellent in some aspects, but ultimately not value for money.
    The sitting room was a very pleasant space with a beautiful Christmas tree and an honesty box for purchase of drinks. The breakfasts were excellent and the host welcoming.
    The bedroom was a bit plain and on our final night the light in the toilet and bathroom failed, leaving us to use this room in complete darkness. We did get an apology, but considering the day before we had also had to listen to an argument between the host and a guest, I believe that the cost should have been discounted, by a small amount, to acknowledge this interruption to the service provided. If this had been acknowledged and responded to better then my overall score would have been 9 not 6.

    Excellent location - short 400 meter walk into Harrogate.
    They were a lovely couple and breakfast was a treat and each day they would chat with you and advise of interesting things to do.
    Stairs - but Mark helped us up with our suit cases.

    Very enjoyable stay, would highly recommend this hotel.
    Breakfast excellent. Room very good but it would benefit from having a long sturdy flat surface to put cases ect. on. Location excellent. Owners very attentive.
    Nothing apart from shelf or unit to put cases on.
