First of all, the location and view were spectacular.
That in itself would have been enough but everything else about the hotel was superb.
The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times.
The food was excellent. My wife and I loved it.

The only thing we didnt care for was the bed. It was very uncomfortable. Hard in some places and lumpy in others. Also the bedroom picked up so much moisture that the bed linens were wet when we were trying to sleep.
The bathroom toilet seat was loose and sliding around so a bit of a safety issue.

Perfect location on the caldera with breathtaking views. Watching the Santorini sunset from our balcony or hotel pool with a drink in hand (instead of a crowded public place) was an incredible experience. Breakfast was good.
We traveled with our 4 year-old daughter and after booking, the hotel sent an email instructing us to make sure that she does not disturb the other guests who are mainly honeymooners and that we need to maintain a "certain decorum". Also gave us instructions on how we are supposed to supervise our child at the pool etc. To just assume that all children behave badly and all parents are bad parents is discriminatory and this made us feel like we had less of a right to be there than other guests, even though we paid the same money. When I brought this up, the hotel defended their position and said they had to warn parents in advance. During our stay, my daughter was perfectly behaved and did not bother other guests in the pool, whereas another family's children caused major disruption. Hotel staff did not ask these parents to ensure that their children behaved appropriately and did not enforce their "decorum". Even though we had a wonderful stay, this attitude detracted from our experience.

Great Stay at Astra Suites
Highly recommend Astra Suites --- before arrival I was able to arrange transportation from our ferry through the concierge -- Astra was responsive and helpful. Location is both beautiful and convenient (walked to Fira and did the hike to Oia) - food at Five Senses was amazing - pool bar was fantastic - all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful

Great splurge for a lovely unique hotel.
We were here 25 years ago and the property is still one of the best on the island, gorgeous view, comfortable beds, great location, as long as you dont mind A LOT of steps! Worth the view if youre up to it.
Just the steps, but that made eating the wonderful Greek food guiltless:)

Fantastic hotel! Absolutely beautiful! Service was wonderful! An amazing breakfast is brought to your room every day. Location is great, lots of great restaurants nearby but not crowded with scores of tourists. We had an amazing stay!

Very nice hotel with stunning view. Would stay recommend and stay again.
The view was absolutely stunning! Breakfast was delicious fresh with delightful options. The staff was pleasurable and attentive.
The room was very nice and clean. However, the height of the studio was short because my husband kept bumping his head when getting up and moving around. He's only 6 ft. I even bumped my head a few times and I'm 5'5 ft tall.
