    We would return if the property were updated a bit. We absolutely loved the staff!!
    Staff!!! Cant say how wonderful and warm they were, particularly Thillini! We also loved our driver, Gihan! He was so sweet with our son and took time to tell us about some of the sights as we passed them while driving. Sadeep was also very kind and accommodating. The location was great for a family- away from the party scene but close enough to get to Hikkiduwa proper when desired. We loved the pool and the size of the room. We did a Madu River safari and loved every second!
    We didnt get plates to eat off of at breakfast- only serving plates so the food got everywhere on the table le and floor. This was pretty minor and Im sure we could have asked for them and gotten them, but the staff was busy helping other guests. The bathroom in our family room was dirty and smelly. The pipes were rusty so the water was discolored and stained some of our clothes. The airport transfer is overpriced. It should only cost 18-20 thousand rupees, but the hotel charges 27,600 which is much more than Uber or our previous hotel transfer, which was a longer trip.

    Perfect to unwind
    Lovely staff, great location and a lot of privacy. We as a family felt very welcome by the staff.
    Only recommendation would be that the toilet seat and bed sheets could have been cleaner or renewed.

    At Ease is a wonderful hotel located in an idyllic part of Hikkaduwa. I cannot rate the staff enough they were amazing and attentive and very friendly. We had a sea view room and it's even better than you think. It's nearby a supermarket and an array of restaurants. A magical stay.

    Very unclean but beautiful sea views
    Great view from the balcony out to the beach. Pool area was simple but nice. Inviting reception area. Breakfast was OK...
    The rooms were incredibly unclean. As though they hadn't been cleaned at all which was very disappointing as before i entered my room, the receptionist went to double check everything was OK before bringing me up - it's concerning that she found those standards to be acceptable. Given what we paid for the accommodation I expected much better, I had been staying in much cheaper accommodation in Sri Lanka prior to coming here which was supposed to be a treat to end my trip so you can understand my disappointment when it didn't live up to expectations. The shower tiles we're covered in old soap residues, the mirror hadn't been cleaned for a long time, there were loads of bugs and no mosquito netting over the beds or screens on the doors / window, water marks over all of the stainless and rubbish behind the sink. Also lots of cobwebs and I was given the fear by the bottle I was served water in, there was what appeared to be black mould on the plastic seal. I really hope the hotel take this feedback on board and do something about the cleanliness and hygiene as it's a beautiful building with great potential but until they take it seriously I would avoid staying there. I did have this conversation with the receptionist but I fear it falls on deaf ears as I now see there has been similar feedback from months ago

    Simple relaxing spot
    The beach was right there. The breakfast was a good range. The rooms were simple but nice. The pool had both a deep and shallow end which was great for all my kids.

    Tidy, clean property Warm front of house staff.
    The pool was really unsafe; it had a slipper edge and the plunge pool section was the same. The owner, a local guy, was super unfriendly to us. Never once said hi, and we observed him speaking to kitchen/bar/wait staff in a really rude, condescending and disrespectful manner.
