Excellent solution in a peaceful area downtown Chennai in Poes Garden

The location is fantastic, downtown in a quite and peaceful area in poes garden Chennai. The staff is very friendly, rooms are big and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good with many local options varieties (dosa was amazing)

I will NOT recommend this property for even a short stay!

Breakfast & overall quality of food was decent for the rates they charged.

There are a number of aspects my family & I did NOT like: Staff & their onsite service was not good. Car parking space/facilities was pathetic - not enough space and guests were all competing for space. While the location was good, during the day it rained a lot, the entire road in front of the property was flooded and there was NO support from staff to help us out or have our car come into the compound for us to get into the car without getting wet.

Food quality thou very limited was decent

Accessibility to restaurants, inhouse service being a solo Traveller, i would strongly suggest if u can find a proper hotel in the same amount go for it, this was definitely no value for money. they have very limited menu they would hesitate to give you an extra bottle of water also and charge you 30 bucks for a 10 rupee bottle. and it being located in a prime residential area there are just no pocket friendly restaurants around. and u are stuck. hence it is better to go to a proper hotel for Rs.4000 per night this is definitely not up to it.

Easy and friendly (not expensive or fancy)

They were helpful and nice at late check in. Generally friendly and enthusiastic staff. The room is ample size and Uber was easy to lots of places. The breakfast was plentiful. All the drivers know the location and recognize hotel name. They seemed comfortable with western and solo travelers.

Shower was not great. First room that they tried to put me in stuck heavily of cigarette and first solution was air freshener that would have aggravated asthma. That said, they fixed it quickly.
