The Beaulieu Hotel is praised for its beautiful location and helpful staff, who quickly provided missing washing bits. However, a noisy air vent in the bathroom disrupted one guest's sleep. The hotel is beautiful, but the restaurant a bit too expensive and dark. But very pretty. But I like it and I don't mind to come back.

Lovlely location. Staff very friendly.

Unfortunatly due to the time of year , hotel and resturant was lacking staff. But would still recommend.

Lovely hotel but needs a few tweaks

The staff are all lovely, the position is great if you have a car and a dog. The dog walks are fabulous. The food in the restaurant was generally good with a few things missing due to the festive period.

Although there were many dogs staying with their families in the hotel, the owners were banished to the bar area to eat if they wanted their dog with them. This area is cold as the outside door is continually opened and then not closed. Dogs are far less noisy and visible than young children. If kids are allowed in the main restaurant, why not dogs? I booked 2 deluxe doubles for us and a single friend. It says deluxe doubles are 24m2. Our friends was. Ours was probably the standard 18m2 but certainly no more than 20m2 with the best will in the world. Also, her room had a 5ft King bed. Ours had a 46 double! For 2 people and a dog!!! I havent slept in one of those in 30 or 40 years!!! Not what I expect from a deluxe double. The charming young man at reception knocked off 2 of the 3 nights dog charges but these beds are letting the hotel down.

Stains on the carpet and head board. Poo stain in toilet when we came in.

The food at the Drift for dinner was terrible! I had a Thai curry that was just so unpleasant and nothing Thai about it (served with an Indian naan bread, very odd), my husbands burger was so over cooked it was almost inedible. And wildly overpriced 70 for 2. Breakfast was better but still, my poached eggs only tasted of the vinegar water they were poached in
