The Botanic Sanctuary in Antwerp offers a grand and unique setting with a mixture of old buildings and greenhouse-like hallways. The staff is friendly and the standard rooms, although small, have all (Read More) the necessary amenities. The hotel has a great swimming pool and a bar with a grown-up atmosphere. The restaurant, 1238, serves fine and creative food with an outstanding wine list. The spa and breakfast are also wonderful. However, some improvements are suggested, such as charging less for a baby bed and providing rooms with garden views. Overall, it is highly recommended for those looking for a hidden gem in the vibrant city of Antwerp.

we asked by phone and by registration for 2 beds and it was not done We have to wait too long for registration in the morning the elevator did not function and we are on the 3th floor , our age 85 and 78, not easy to go for breakfast.

Wonderful location in a characteristic setting in the centre of Antwerp. Luxurious hotel including spa access. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Really wonderful Hotel in the middle of Antwerp, We loved the SPA facilities and our room (Junior Suite) had the most comfy beds. The room was also very clean.

In our room we heard noise from the bar below the room. This was not what we expected from such an expensive hotel. We noted this at check out and the hotel offered a a coupon to make up for it.

All by all an ecstatic, exhilarating experience.

The service was exceptional, the welcoming happened in a very professional and comfortable way, and every single employee is helpful, friendly, very professional, and very strong in the refined art of hospitality. Also the concierge is a very smart and intelligent man that is very attentive to details and this with his teams makes this hotel one of the very best in Belgium, for sure (we tried all other 5 stars).

The setting is very beautiful, the plants are gorgeous, the only thing I would change is the art inside the building, it is rather chaotic on not very refined at least in the part of the hotel with "deluxe" rooms that I saw. There were some spots on the ceiling (like a lot) in our room like an explosion of some food happened. We had a coffee machine but the espresso cups were missing. for the rest a top-notch hotel. The pop-up restaurant is not bad, but the menu had a very sour taste, which is not a problem as such, except the balance of sourness was a bit too harsh in a few dishes. We also had to wait 45 minutes between the second and third meal dishes, which is a bit too long for a lunch that could be less lengthy.
