Fantastic hotel- would recommended!

The property had lovely decor and it was very clean. The staff were friendly and it is right in the centre of Grassmere. Breakfasts were lovely. The cream tea was a lovely touch!

We stayed in an annexe room which was on the small side.

Overall our stay was very pleasant but felt a little like second class citizens in the annex

Ideal location and lovely decor with furnishings to a high standard. We took advantage of the afternoon tea on arrival which was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We were allocated a room in the annex building which was like a chalet style bungalow. The room itself was very nice, but had we known this might have been a possibility when booking, we would have specifically asked to have been in the main house. The room was a ground floor room overlooking the car park, but was sold as a mountain view room on booking. there was no privacy as there was not even any blinds, just the thick curtains, which we had to keep closed most of the time. There was also no lighting outside the front of the annex, making it pitch black returning at night, while the main house was beautifully lit. We also suspected that the breakfast was pre cooked at the sister property apart from the poached eggs which seemed to be done by an egg chef in the open kitchen. The breakfast was very well organised but would have expected a full freshly cooked breakfast for the price and standard of accommodation.

No common areas to relax, disappointed

Bathroom was nice and the breakfast was ace!

The bed was made up of two single beds which left the bed uneven. There were no common spaces to sit and relax ie no sofas etc. Booked New Years Eve but cancelled after arriving at location I got an email saying no food available to the Inn. Overall, not value for money!

Amazing

Very clean, spacious gorgeous rooms. Attentive friendly staff. Lovely help yourself cream tea on arrival and lovely breakfast. Location cant be beaten. Great parking also with space allocated before arrival. We all loved it and had a great NYE here, there were fireworks at the sister hotel few minutes walk away. Didnt use the pool at the sister hotel but we took a look and it looked lovely and clean and welcoming with a relaxation room and sauna. All perfect.

Relaxing, cosy and comfortable hotel set in the heart of The Lakes

Comfortable, quiet and relaxing stay. Lovely big room with mountain view. Great central location. Easy hiking from hotel. Tasty breakfast and nice touch with hot drinks and scones in the afternoon.
