Great food. Great bed. Smart TV
The food was excellent. The bed was excellent. There was a proper bedside cabinet each side which is very convenient. Lots of different lights and switches. The TV was a smart TV which was great. Buxton water bottle every day. Walk in shower excellent.
The room was not big enough for the cost although it had everything one wanted. The radiator was very difficult to get right as were the lights. Toiletries minimal.

Great visit
Good location for visiting family and the Peak District. Deluxe room was excellent, very clean, warm and comfortable with loads of space, nice lounge area and bright bathroom. All staff professional, courteous and friendly. Food very good.
Some public rooms were cool.

The staff in the main were great, and the second nights stay was great.
Staff friendly except receptionist, when we initially arrived, although she did improve during our two night stay.
They did relocate us into the main hotel on our second nights stay, much different room. Warm cosy and a dramatic impression changer from: would not ever stay here again, too would definitely come back again.
First night I was placed out into their annex rooms, obviously overspill rooms when main hotel is full. Freezing as the heating not working and it was a particularly cold night, shower head had a mind of its own, shower screen leaked and poured water all over the floor, unlit dangerous and slippery path - (ice) with stairs - had not been salted to and from the hotel to room - not great when raining and carrying luggage.

The old-world charm and elegant simplicity, and the perfect location.
Nothing - but the electric sockets in the bedroom could benefit from being changed to include integral USB points and be installed on both sides of the bed.

Overall a very nice stay and good location for short break
Room was comfortable but felt it needed a refresher but very clean, both dinner and breakfast was excellent and very good service
When booking hotel it stated car charger but needed to set up App and then find it was expensive also when enquiring about charger at reception when we arrived not very helpful
