Loved the views of the river and viaduct. Saw otters in the water and lots of birds. Silent at night..Cute cottage, nice and warm.Very private.
Nothing really. Would have liked a TV in the bedroom.

A great house for a family holiday for two adults and two children.
A very comfortable property and in a great location to visit Whitby and surrounding area. There is a lovely walk over the viaduct into Whitby. The house is in a quiet location overlooking the river.

Lovely place to stay with River Esk views. Comfortable clean like home from home.
We loved the accommodation but could be challenging for anyone with mobility issues.

A perfect location for a quiet break.
The location of the accomodation was perfect for us a quiet location with amazing surroundings. The accomodation was clean with all the facilities required for a self catering break. Including fridge, freezer, oven, 4 gas rings, microwave, washing m/c, toaster, kettle, iron and TV. Plenty of storage, cutlery and utensils. The accomodation sits alongside the river Esk and in view of the Larpool Viaduct an idyllic location for a quiet break. The walk into Whitby crossing the viaduct and via the cinder track takes 30 to 40 minutes depending on how many stops to observe the views. The North Yorkshire railway passes within view on the other side of the river with the steam engine being the main attraction. The property comes with a bbq and outdoor seating/table. The rear grassed area catches the sun almost all day.
The outdoor seating is great for dining out but for relaxing in the sun something more suitable with a backrest would be welcome as is provided by the adjacent properties.
