    Fantastic location and the staff were super helpful.
    Unfortunately the floor I stayed on only had one working toilet for the whole 4 nights that I was there.

    Great for people on budget but sadly stairs and rooms a let down,
    Location and friendly staff.
    The amount of steps. Sadly with a complex ankle injury carrying luggage up a lot of stairs very unhelpful and staff didnt help. The room with 4 males room was too too small, lockers were damaged or broken. There was a very bad smells and odour from room. Didnt like how the tiny bathroom was in bedroom and bedroom was dirty. The bedding had stains. I checked out within an hour.

    All in all it's a fun and convenient stay.
    We love it because of it's location. Value for money is definitely good. Staff is friendly as well.
    It's noisy on our side of the window cause there's a bar below.

    I found the staff very welcoming and helpful, the facilities clean (very clean actually by usual hostels standards) and the beds confortable with clean sheets. The Wi-Fi is good, there's enough showers and water pressure for several people at the same time and a fully equipped kitchen. Most of the guests in here are students/workers and everybody plays by the rules to maintain the place in a decent state. Good atmosphere and friendly people as well. A very good value for its price, I would definitely recommend Carric.
    This is of course independent from the hostels staff, but there is unfortunately a very noisy bar right next door that stays open all night long during the weekends... Prepare your earplugs !

    Think twice before booking here. If youre keen to spend as little time in your accommodation and have earplugs - go for
    Close to QV markets
    Dirty - dust in skirting boards, stair cases and anywhere that takes effort to dust. Cold showers 2/4 days. The loudest pub right next to the hostel that played music til 6am on the Friday night - seriously walk shaking loud. Staff Afl you to sign a statement to say that you will not make noise after 11pm but drip to mention the pub will be deafening and your room will be sound proof like a lace curtain. Loud other residents making noise at 1.30am in morning. Room like a prison cell in style - without bars or stainless steel toilet. Only good thing - warm bed and bedding.

    The hostel in right in the opposite of Queen Victoria Market. It's a great point to start exploring the city, escpecially that it's in free tram zone. Room conditions aren't the best, but you have a bed, desk, heater and fans - you can easily manage the temperature you like, even in winter. Common parts were cleaned regularly.
    There's very loud at night. At ground floor there's a bar, in which around 8 pm really loud music starts to play. There's also a bar's garden right under the windows, unfortunately mine as well. There's also loud at night inside the hostel. Combining it with relatively thin walls - it can be hard to fall asleep.
