    I still love this place
    This remains one of the most loveable hotels in Sri lanka. Bentota is not quite as trendy as it was because of the motoway south - but that means boutique hotels in south Bentota such as this one are often excellent value.
    The food and restaurant could be more imaginative and a less dated feel would help regain Club Villa's reputation of old.

    Paradise in Sri Lanka
    Peaceful atmosphere in a wonderful tropical garden. A long and clean pool that really invites you to spend a lot of time there. Great food, great rooms, great staff! Long, nice beaches. I cannot think of anything thats missing! Club Villa was our favorite spot in Sri Lanka when we lived there for four years and coming back after eight years this hasnt changed! We will be back again (and hopefully not only after another eight years )

    great spot in bentota
    great location and direct access to the beach. the train is a bit surprising at first but then quite enjoyable
    no hot water in the last 2 nights of our stay and noisy Aircond in 1 room that wasnt being fixed.

    excellent - highly recommend staying! one of the best hotel during our trip to Sri Lanka
    beautiful garden, pool, room with a very nice balcony and big bathroom. a two minute walk from a lovely secluded beach where it was amazing to watch the sunset. a lovely massage, and delicious food.

    Enjoyed my stay at Club Villa
    Bawa designed Villa which comes with beautifully designed gardens. Staff were very attentive and loved the food in particular. Also a cosy atmosphere exists amongst guests to give the place an away from home feel. Highly recommended.
    Again perfect stay. Some rooms could do with an upgrade or restoration however this was not an issue for me, it might be for some.

    Absolute bliss and a truly exquisite stay!
    How had we not discovered this chic hidden hen in Bentota before! Easily the best stay weve had in Sri Lanka and weve been around from the hill state ti the south, staying in boutique hotels! Artistically designed cosy rooms with spacious balconies, beautiful gardens and pool area with great service. We loved the warmth of Sanjeeva who looked after our stay, and the welcoming reception manager who obliged our requests in the most efficient manner. It was just serene to be here, relaxing amidst the wafts of frangipani and enjoying the pool with food and drinks served straight to us! The beach was a charming 2 minute walk away across the railway tracks, which itself makes for a great Instagram shot! absolutely loved this hotel!

    Nothing to dislike but some might mind the train that occasionally passes by. For us it added to the Ceylonese charm, and we looked forward to seeing it pass and taking some nice videos for our memories.

    Old world charm at Club Villa, the gardens and swimming pool are a delight with plenty of shade to pull your sun bed into we had a mixture of western breakfast and of course the full Sri Lankan breakfast tailored to your spice level and comfort. The stars of the show are the staff, polite, courteous and professional nothing was ever too much trouble. Will hope to be back next time in Bentota.
