Superb

Location is exceptional. Good view from the penthouse room. Quite environment. Many pubs and coffee shops, close to all points of interest for sightseeing and shopping.

Cleaning service should be included for stays longer than 3 days at the penthouse room. Bed size is good but there is space for a bigger one.

Very good

I would definitely consider staying there again.

My bed was very comfortable, and felt private. The place felt secure. There was a full length mirror on the wall in the room, and a wall of windows facing the bunks. The People I encountered were quiet polite and friendly. The communal area felt comfortable and inviting.

No place to blow dry hair in bathroom. The bathroom mirror and sink counter was not very big. The water pressure was not very strong in the shower or toilent.

Nice and clean room, contactless check-in, and the location is great. A chance to meet fellow travelers. Most of all, the price is so cheap!

It's not soundproofing. (But It was fine to me..!) Only one towel is provided, no lift for luggage, small room.

Great value, location, and cleanliness

This hostel was in a great location in Edinburgh. There are no staff onsite, but all the information is given before check in so it is clear how to get in. There are pin pads and an app that you can use to open the front door and the room door. My room and bed were very clean, and the locker was big enough to store my things. Each bed has a little shelf with 2 USB ports so you can charge your devices in the pod with you. There is also a larger outlet outside the beds if you need to charge something larger like a laptop. Although I didn't use them, there are also large lockers available next to the common room to store your luggage before and after check in/out. The beds have a curtain for privacy, and a light switch at the base of each bed. The blankets are warm and the mattress felt like memory foam. Paper towels are available in the bathroom, and ear plugs are provided next to the bed. The lockers open with a 4 digit code you set each time you close them, so they are easy to use and no lock is needed. There was a motion sensor floor light that turned on in the room when you enter or exit which makes sure you don't have to turn on the main light in the middle of the night.

The bathrooms were clean, but very small. On my floor, which had 2 rooms, there was a shared bathroom with two shower stalls and one toilet. Sometimes I had to wait for the toilet, but most of the time it wasn't an issue. What was difficult is that the toilet stall was very small, so it was hard to close the door and get to the toilet behind. The hostel is located in a dimly lit smaller street off a busier street, so it was a little hard to find the first time, but there are large signs that help. The common room was smaller than it looked in photos.

Very good

The location was great, we could go walking all over. The fact everything is automatic is quite convenient. Room and beds was what we were looking for.

Although, maybe a bit pricey based on how comfortable the room was.

people do not follow no noise rules, chat inside while others sleep noisy when someone opens door to the room as coded locks sound loud every time someone puts code in
