    A perfect stay in Dar's vibrant city centre. Classic in every way.
    Check in staff very amiable, efficient and courteous - highly professional. Including the security checks at the gate, lobby and then front desk. Large, beautifully stately hotel. Decor in rooms a bit dated but also classically solid. In-room robes, fruit platter, and slippers - all complimentary for our room. Serena has its own special charm and this Dar es Salaam didn't fail. Centrally located in the corp / banking district with many good restaurants in walking distance and very safe. So, it's better as a family short stay or business hotel given its location. Overall, still a quality establishment I'd return to.

    Based on the hotels i saw around that are supposed to be the same caliber, i will go back to serena
    They have a great swimming pool
    The centralized AC, I guess needs some maintenance. it was set to the minimum but the room temperature wasn't all that cold. especially at night, it was quite hot.

    Almost great stay, especially breakfast was good.
    Nice entrance and robby place, nice restaurant and facilities in room.
    Some facilities of room are old, so shampoo and conditioner dropped from the shelf at midnight.
