A little hidden gem

what a beautiful cottage! i really enjoyed my stay here, it was lovely and cosy, i was only stopping over for the night on my way up to Scotland. I think it was an absolute bargain for what you get, completed kitted with all the things you could possibly need in the kitchen, i enjoyed the attention to detail of putting up xmas decorations. its one of those where its like walking into a homely stay and being instantly comfortable. i think i will be making this a regular stay but would definitely stay for a couple days next time to appreciate the area more! Thank you for having me!

The stairs were fun! just because of how clumsy i am id say maybe look into added another railing on the other side but honestly theyre manageable so its not a big thing!

Perfect little cottage getaway

Absolutely spotlessly clean. We had a wonderful stay. The bed is so comfy. Great location. Owner's next door very friendly. Bottle of wine and biscuits as a welcome gift was a lovely touch. Will definitely go back xx

Even though it isnt central Lake District the property is situated on the outskirts of a quite village and not too far

Arrived on site and warmly welcomed by the locals and owner next door. Cottage and garden were perfect for a quite get away with my two dogs and partner, the cottage was well equipped with cooking equipment and plenty of storage for food. The garden was secure and well maintained! We were unfortunate with the weather so unable to enjoy the seating area in the garden but the views from the property and garden were perfect.

The owners are lovely and helpful , the cottage is really nice and the back garden is a lovely place to sit.

The stairs were a problem for us,but it is clear when you book that they are steep.

A real away from it all.

The location is a delight. Very, very peaceful with lovely views down the valley. It was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfy! Although there's no sofa, the chairs in the kitchen are very comfortable. Our dogs loved the little garden, and so did we!

The stairs are as steep as described, but if you take them sideways they're not a problem at all.

Cosy accommodation, in a beautiful rural location.

Clever compact design of cottage. Had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Very clean and well presented. Shower room/bathroom was perfect. Nice space to sit outside in the mini garden, with a fine view across to the North Pennines.

Headroom is limited. I knew it, but I still bumped my head a few times. Flies! An inevitable downside to being out in the country where there is livestock around. Perhaps a UV 'zapper' in the kitchen area would be a useful addition. And/or a screen door.
