I loved the stay here & would book again when in Sydney

Best beach front location & value for money for a short stay. Plenty to do & places to eat at your fingertips. Great air conditioning in the room which was spacious. Bed was enormous & comfy

Checked out instantly.

Hated it all. Should never have walked through the door. All the signs were there to `turn around`.

Filthy dirty entrance, tatty everything. It was like a student accommodation that had not seen any maintenance or investment for 30 years. The pictures are not correct. The kitchen downstairs was the office also. It was an absolute disgrace. There was a vase of dead flowers on the table. It smelt like a sweaty office. The rooms did not look like the pictures in any way whatsoever. I felt like crying and running away instantly. The rooms had frosted glass so you can not see out. The bathroom had rusty revolting accessories in. The carpet was totally unacceptable. Rusty old ironing board in room/kitchen area. I did not look any further at what was in that area. I actually thought i was in a nightmare. Last night in Sydney so checked straight out into a nice HOTEL next door. The Dive is a proper dive/hostel. It should be promoted as a cheap backpackers hostel. Do not stay. Do not spoil your trip to Coogee.

Pleasant stay

The location was super, and it was nice having the balcony. The bed was comfortable.

There was some mould in the bathroom, and the coffee in the room was pretty undrinkable, so we got our own.

Have stayed before and would stay again.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, fabulous location and view and we were kindly given bit of a late check-out in order to attend to some business. Very happy with our stay and would recommend.

The stairs out the front were blocked due to ongoing works but it didnt affect our stay at all as there is also a ramp up to the front door which was even more convenient.

Avoid at all cost

Absolutely nothing. We stood in the rain as the door was locked, and no one answered. When someone heard the banging, we were eventually let in, and given our key to the room. It was during usual reception opening times, but unmanned.

Where to start. The door to our room did not lock, no safe so had to take passports etc with us at all times, as anyone could enter our room day or night. The shower was disgusting, no way would we ever use it. The stairs are very narrow, difficult to bring suitcases up, no lift. Reception was always closed, no one was available to speak to. Would not recommend

Looks nothing like the images on booking.com. The bathroom was unhygienic and there were cobwebs in the bedroom. There was also no working window - it did not open and has been frosted over so you cannot see anything outside of the room.
