    Drop Hostel is a budget-friendly option slightly outside the city centre with clean, spacious rooms and bathrooms. The balcony offers a lovely view of the lake and sunset. Guests appreciated the peac (Read More)eful atmosphere and helpful staff. The private room had a beautiful terrace with a view of the city. The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming. The hostel is close to Kandy lake and within walking distance of the Buddha tooth temple. Recommended for a comfortable stay with good value.

    I only stayed one night but was really happy with my stay. Great value for a clean and spacious private room. Nice location close to good restaurants, the lake, and a doable walk to the tourist sights. The view is incredible from the balcony.
    Definitely get a ride when you first arrive with your bags! The hill is a bit of a struggle carrying everything.

    Shared my bathroom with snails and cockroaches- disgusting The most time there was a boy at the reception nice but not really helpful- the owner i think i saw him once a time - ok At all I felt really not comfortable at this hostel and dont understand why it has such a good rating on booking.com I would recommend pay a few dollars more and book another one

    A passable dorm with very poor Internet
    Nice ambience, friendly staff, budget room with value for money.
    Very poor wifi, Instagram and Facebook is restricted and can't be used with the Internet plans they have!! Also there was no Internet connectivity in the dorms downstairs. So, if you are a Digital Nomad, a big NO to this place. However, the owner was kind to offer the sim top up for Internet but I denied. It's bit far from the city centre but the view was good from the lobby.

    Very flexible and helpful
    I really enjoyed my stay at Drop Hostel, especially their service and flexibility. I booked the place at 10pm for the same night, as my previously booked accomodation was really dirty and unhygienic. Although their check-in times were over already I was greeted with open arms. The manager checked on me the next morning if everything was alright and gave me good tips on the city. Thanks again

    Great place to stay in Kandy
    Stayed here last time we were in Kandy, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. A little out of town if you want to be in the middle of everything, but great for us. Room is large and airy with opening windows. Everywhere is within walking distance. Owner very helpful.

    Have a really nice view! You can see almost all kandy from the balcony! You need to walk up a tough hill to reach to place its hard way up there specially with backpacks.
    There were ants in the room specially in the bathroom but they were harmless.

    Top value accommodation in Kandy!
    Room and bed were very comfortable, view from the apartment was amazing. Staff were proper helpful!
    WiFi cut out quite often. The cupboards in the apartment are in desperate need of a good cleaning.

    Good place in Kandy
    Nice large room with opening windows. The bed was large, mattress a bit springy but nothing to bad. Large bathroom with hot water. Staff helpful and friendly. WiFi good when it worked. Would stay again.
    Bit far from town, but we knew that when we booked.
