Good overall short break in a nice area.
The location is most suitable as its a short walk to the main part of the city, alternatively there is a bus and taxi service on the doorstep. The breakfast was fine with plenty of room.
I prefer the hotel staff to take the order for tea/coffee etc and for items that require ordering from the kitchen. One lift is inadequate for the building, also the leisure club is looking worse for wear.

Great staff very friendly. The bar food was very nice as well. Nice to have a pool and sauna.

We had a great stay in Edinburgh for christmas 2023
This property is within easy walking distance to the city centre, it is clean, the staff very helpful and the rooms had everything we needed.
There wasnt a lot of atmosphere in the hotel bar for Christmas but that is not the staffs fault, we had stayed in 2017 at Christmas, there were games in the bar/lounge area which was fun but this maybe the after effects of Covid that they were not there this time.

Superb
pleasant and lovely honey moon stay
very friendly service, very comfortable bed, clean and nice room/bathroom. swimming pool and gym were great. location was perfect, not too far from city but far enough away from centre so it was quiet. the tesco right next to it was very useful.
old very very tiny tv(though it seems we just got unlucky in our room with that) and a lot of noise came through the room door which was a bit unpleasant in morning when we tried to sleep in.

Helpful staff and ideal location.
The staff are great. We originally had a standard room which was one that hadnt been updated yet but there was a smell of smoke and reception upgraded us to a superior room which had been renovated. They were very helpful and prompt. Couldnt have asked for more. The location is also great, 10 min walk to the royal mile where lots of tourist things are and plenty of bars and restaurants
The older rooms are run down but if you get the newer rooms theyre perfect
