I booked a Romantic Package because I was inviting my girlfriend for dinner. It was to be a special occasion. I was supposed to receive a welcome drink, chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of Cava. I received none of these so there was nothing romantic about it at all and it really ruined our day. The hotel couldn't care less. I have complained to the front desk and subsequently written to them and they refuse to acknowledge that they didn't deliver the package and ruined my day. This would be unforgivable in any hotel but for a 5 star property it is unbelievable. I can only suppose that once they have your money they have no further interest in their guests or their enjoyment.

While the hotel had a great location I would be hard pressed to rate this a five star hotel.
Location was good and staff were friendly. Was very close to all amenities and staff were always polite.
We were able to have breakfast after 11:00 which made New Years Day convenient.
- Often only one person at reception and check in which caused long wait times.
- Inconsistent housekeeping. Towels not always replaced but taken away.
- No floor or towel heating in bathroom.
- television and phone not working well or at all sometimes. We reported to front desk bit nothing done.
- During New Years Eve room service not available after six attempts as they were busy with the event that people paid 350 euros a person for. We couldn't even get glasses to drink our champagne on New Years Eve from front desk.
- WiFi was horrible and often unavailable or not connected to internet. We needed to use the staff wifi which also wasn't stable.
- Five nights was too long for these inconveniences.
- bill had mini bar items we did not use but front desk rectified after contact.

Comfort and convenience
The quality and cleanliness of the rooms and bedding, the views from the room (city and marina), and the location (close to the port and to La Rambla, Barceloneta and El Born.
The hotel breakfast is extremely pricey at around $30, so we didn't partake, which meant having to leave the hotel to eat breakfast.

Hotel was a great location, staff, were very nice and the view of the marina.
Wireless internet didn't work and my room coffee maker didn't function either.
Also beds were a bit stiff compared to others I've stayed during my trip

The room was really big, I got a bigger one than I ordered which was nice. The equipment of the room was of a good standard and I really liked the bathroom.
The first thing is about the facilities of the hotel where the pool was closed and probably due to the off season the other facilities didn't seem to be open. However, the most annoying thing was that overnight in the port next door some ship (by which I mean a huge ferry or something like that) had its engines running and it was a really annoying noise that lasted for hours.
