Great location, the rest not 4 stars worth

Location is great. 10-15 min walking and you reach main shopping malls like Siam Discovery, MBK, Paragon and even CentralwOrld. Bellow the hotel is 7-11 and close by skytrain station. Hotel in general has seen its better days. You notice that on corridors, in the lift or at the pool. Luckily rooms were renovated and correspond to hotel rating of 4 stars.

I asked in advance and also at the check-in for a room in a higher floor, but my wish was rejected both times. Luckily room in floor 10 (top floor is 22 and rooms start at floor 9, I guess) also offered a nice city view. Besides I could use stairs to go to the pool in floor 8 (elevators are quite occupied=long waiting time). 1000THB is requested as a deposit at the checkIN. Not really convenient if you are leaving hotel (and Thailand) in night hours and you than get stuck with 1000THB.

Very central, excellent value for money, large pool with small playground and generally great for kids. Very spacious and comfortable rooms, superb mattresses. Will become our go to Bkk hotel

Not much to dislike. It is overall a little dated which brings the price down but impeccably clean.
