    Lovely hotel but poor service from staff regarding wedding
    modern, comfortable rooms, attractive communal areas, breakfast
    Lack of communication by hotel regarding our status as Sharan wedding guests caused a great deal of confusion and upset. I made it clear in my communications with the hotel that we were part of the wedding buy had booked our room via booking.com earlier in the year. This booking should have been included in the Sharan block booking of 55 rooms, not as an additional room. Personally I feel the Sharans should receive a refund of one room for two nights. It was up to the hotel to clarify our status in relation to our room booking which they did not. Also I messaged the hotel via booking.com and never received a reply. I will be making a formal complaint on my return to the. UK

    A bad experience
    The location is really good being in the foothill of the Himalayas. Its a good base for trekking.
    My son got eaten alive by insects in his room. There were a few bites the first night but loads on the second and he could not sleep. The manager was completely unsympathetic and seemed to think that fumigating the new room to which he moved to was a perfectly adequate solution. When pushed he reluctantly gave me a discount of around 40 on my final hotel bill of around 1500. I may have got unlucky but if this is what Marriot has to offer I think I will be choosing other hotels to stay in !!

    My friend caught a fever during the stay, the hotel did not have medicines but they had someone run and get medicine for her. That was a very nice gesture.

    We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff is very attentive and the hotel is fairly new and well kept. Food at Pano Restaurant is very good too, but unfortunately have time to have breakfast due to our early flight back to Delhi.
