There were a few families with children (7-11year old) who were playing football inside the hotel atrium and were very noisy and parents allowing them to run about without consideration to other people.

a very nice trip, to a lovely hotel.
The reception, concierge and main restaurant staff were all extremely helpful, and engaging. We felt well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. The food at breakfast and in La Cucina was delicious - very fresh and offering a wide choice.
The pool area was dirty and a lack of clean towels available, on 2 separate days. We sat around the pool for over an hour, and used towels were left scattered around every seat/lounger, and the floor around the pool and shower area was in much need of a clean.
Colleagues in the main bar do seem less attentive and less experienced. We had to chase up our drinks, were not offered cutlery to eat our food with (on 2 occasions) and vacant tables were left dirty with used dishes/glasses on them. (not a great first impression when we arrived, and found this consistently when we visited the bar on 4 other occasions)

The property itself is beautiful and in a lovely setting
The staff were rude, unorganised and its atmosphere felt unwelcoming.
I went with my son and felt invisible. The facilities are designed for coupes and families only and it felt quite isolating. The food at the bistro bar was poor, the staff and manager were unfriendly and barely took my son on. The rooms had a blowing fan that went on all night and felt quite dated for the price.
The rooms werent ready and I was there after 4pm. The family checking in beside were offered complimentary drinks vouchers but I was told to sit in the lobby and wait.
For the price I just didnt feel special or valued. My son and I have visited a number of luxury hotels recently and this one felt unwelcoming and underwhelming. At the end of the stay we stood waiting at check out and a manager walked around to say thank you to everyone for there stay but I was not thanked or acknowledged

Its been a favourite of my families for years. The dinner was very good and the beds were comfortable
We didnt get into our room with luggage until 5.20. Our table for dinner was booked for 6. So therefore had no time to get ready. My son is autistic so the confusion and the room not being ready added to stress. Drinks that we had left in the lobby at 4pm were still there when we went back at 8. It was not clean. There was a fire alarm around 9pm where not one member of staff showed us to the fire exit or when to come in. We ordered a bottle of white wine to the room and they brought red and insisted it was white so asked if I wanted to open it. The member of staff could not open it so I had to open it for him. Overall very disappointing.

Still enjoyed our stay but standards have slipped from previous stay.
Bedroom very clean and spacious. Nice bar and Italian restaurant was really nice. Spa area nice and good to chill for a couple of hours.
Check in was late and we had to chase our luggage. Breakfast was cold first morning better second morning. Member of staff on the egg station was very rude. As I am dairy intolerant asked if he could make me dairy free scrambled eggs to be told he was far too busy and was rude and walked away from me in front of other guests. This was after I was directed to the egg station from another member of staff to get my eggs. But I did get them made from the chief in the kitchen.

Poor - staff need training - very dissatisfied
This is the 3rd time we have came here at Christmas love the hotel and location. This year was disappointing.
Staff service at bars and general interactions were very poor and lack of attentiveness to messy tables. When ordering or interacting there was a general negativity and the staff appeared that they didnt want to be there. Particularly true fir main bar and sports bar.
