Food was fine but not as good as at several other places we have stayed.
I booked through the booking.com portal in July and received a message from within the app asking to reconfirm my credit card details. It turns out that the hotel had its messaging system hacked so i lost 586 euros to fraud.
The hotel disclaimed responsibility saying it is up to my bank and booking.com. My bank said it is the responsibility of the merchant ( either booking.com or the hotel i can t get a clear answer).
When i liaise with booking.com via their messaging system i either get a message saying someone will call you within 24 hours , and no one ever calls, or an automated template which keeps on asking me for information i have already provided ( bank statement showing the transaction including the amount and date as well as a letter from the bank stating i have cancelled my card and alerted them of the fraud.) Despite providing this information multiple times via the appno response. I have now spoken 3 times to different members of staff at booking.com. Each time very polite and helpful.i have been promised respectively that booking.com will take care of it, that they will send me all the information needed by emailand each timenothing.
6 months later from the original fraud and still the same run around. I can only assume that booking.com think that if they run me around enough i will get tired and let it drop.
Not impressed either with the hotel for taking responsibility for their system being hacked, or booking.com for giving me the runaround.
