- the owner assisted in organising a home cooked dinner meal for us for rs.300 and our taxi ride to the airport
- We picked this accommodation solely as a one night layover to Chennai airport. The accommodation advertised the stay as a 30 minute drive to the airport. However, both ways to and from the airport took us a good 50 minutes due to metro works. Even the owner advised us to consider an hour journey to the airport. It would have been nice if this fact was disclosed in the listing
- the location is quite deeply tucked in residential area and was difficult for tuktuk drivers to navigate to without google maps.
- whilst the rooms were very spacious, it was quite dated and had a musky smell in the room even though there was an air freshener in the room.

This was my first Home Stay and I was really pleasantly surprised. I was made to feel very welcome and at a very low ext
The property was clean, comfortable with attractive decor.

The property is well maintained. The owner is very friendly and the care taker was well behaved and co-operative. Overall nice experience. The wall mounted small table and the chair and a single seat sofa was not comfortable enough and the location of the property is little away from the main road.

Amazing stay in Chennai
It's always great to stay at Sam and Marina's gest house. All the equipments are great. Hot shower, great internet, very good bed, tea/coffee.
Everything is perfect. And Sam and his family are very helpful and fun.
I highly recommend !

I have been to Sam and Marina's homestay many times. And its always a pleasure to come. I feel at home. The room is so nice and clean. The food is amazing. Sam and Marina are so nice, and always helping to make sure you have a good time.
They are more than good hosts, they make you feel like family
