    Location perfect.
    we stayed in a pavilion suite with garden view - this was the best room we had stayed in during our month travelling around Thailand. Location excellent, absolutely stunning spot virtually on the beach, lovely to stroll along in the evening, and wake up to in the morning. We had a beautiful little private terrace overlooking the beach where we were able to watch the sunrise. Room extremely large and comfortable. Pool lovely. Bar on the front overlooking the beach lovely too. 'The last Fishermans Bar' a little further along from the Hotel was a lovely find for good food. Did the Monkey trail just past the Fishermans Bar at 7am in the morning - we had about 40 very cute monkeys come down from the trees to see us. It was lovely to walk along the front of Ao Nang beach with all it hustle and bustle - but even better knowing we had this beautiful spot lit up with lanterns at night and virtually on the beach to go back to. Also recommend the ladies just past the hotel who do the massages under canopies - their massages are excellent and very reasonable - my husband & I went each night after long days spent sight seeing, it was a real treat.

    Breakfast could be nicer but was adequate. Staff within the hotel could interact more with guests - but felt this was a training issue not necessarily a staff problem. Bar staff very nice.

    The best location you can imagine we booked the Pavillon garden view.
    The staff cannot speak English and it is a big problem. I do not recommend breakfast.

    Freezing shower that run more like a trickle, rock hard bed and very poor lighting. Staff very miserable not what you would normally get in thialand .

    Location. Best located in Aonang but you must book a Pavillion room upstairs. Pool is also nice.
    4th time in this hotel. Used to love it. Staff seem clueless all around, and I am not being rude or expecting much, having travelled extensively in Thailand for more than a decade. We did not one time get what we ordered and always met with No, cannot. They must have a horrible clientele by now as there are signs everywhere with what you are NOT allowed to do. Breakfast is certainly not 4* level.

    The location, support with tours, breakfast buffet and staff weee all great
    Remediation was needed for bathtub around the top surface were it meets the surrounding wall Water collected and drained into the back wall. This may create a water damage for them if not corrected

    The best hotel in Ao nang
    I was there in October it was so good i am going back for Christmas. The staff are so friendly. The room was cleaned every day and was perfect. A buffet breakfast everything you want and freshly cooked omelette on order. I sat outside for my delicious evening meal watching a beautiful sunset. Then walked 5 minutes and was in the centre of town. Truly a amazing hotel.
    That i was only 4 nights there.but as i wrote i fly back for Christmas and stay a week

    Great location and clean rooms
    Joy, who sits at the travel desk in the lobby, was amazing! Very friendly, professional, and helpful. When we were having difficulty communicating a room issue to the counter staff, she stepped in to play translator. She was also immensely helpful when we unexpectedly needed transportation to the airport. That woman deserves a raise! Location was perfect ... just steps from the beach, with restaurants in easy reach. Nice pool too.
    Water wouldn't get hot in our first room. After some back and forth (and translation help from Joy), we got an 'upgrade' to another room that had a seaview but was smaller and had no hot-tub (so I'm not sure if really an upgrade). Counter staff initially said the hotel was fully booked, but it certainly didn't appear that way... only saw one 3 or 4 other groups during our whole stay and the breakfast area was always empty. Water took a long time to heat up in the second room also, and was only ever warm. WiFi also quite weak. Anyway, the location (and Joy) made up for the rest.

    Always been a fan but too expensive now
    I have stayed here on 4 separate holidays .. i love that its so close to the beach
    The first time i stayed here was in 2007 . I had the single story villa. The interiors need updating and its a shame they filled in the previously glassed bath area. At over AUD $3000 a week i fear this was my last stay at golden beach. This trip i paid $3000 for three weeks in a 4 star hotel with seaviews in patong
