The outside light over the windows was so bright, the room was lit up like day even at night. We had to keep the bathroom door closed but unfortunately the light still came in under the shades on the door and small window above the sink since they don't really block light well (gaps too big). I would recommend room darkening curtains on all those windows. When the bathroom door was closed, there was a pretty bad smell that accumulated; I believe it's from the drain in the floor. Checkout was earlier than most places, 10am (at least make this 11am). Check in hours were also more restrictive at 8pm. This should be at least 9pm, with option to get in later. People are traveling - the restrictive hours makes this motel much less attractive. They did not offer any decaf coffee or tea - considering the high price per night, I would expect at least this small thing as even most lower priced hotels offer this. The front desk isn't really staffed - the proprietor is in another area nearby so it takes a few minutes of yelling to get someone. There were no instructions I could see that says someone would be with you if you knock or ring or whatever; this was very awkward. They need to provide 2 hand towels instead of just 1 - this should be a standard. I would also recommend having a luggage rack in the closet - one luggage space isn't really enough. It would be nice to have HBO/Max or some other commercial free movie channel available.
