    Amazing hotel, bad food.
    The Harbour Beach Club was perfect for our new years stay. The location on the beach was stunning, the hotel was nicely designed, the room was a good size, with a massive comfy bed and lovely complimentary touches. The whole hotel was very clean. The spa facilities were great, and when we stayed not busy at all. The shuttle up to Salcombe was really helpful and easy, and parking was well managed - thank you Lee! We would definitely stay again.
    I thought the kitchen/restaurant really let the hotel down. The menu was the same throughout the day, and was pretty uninspiring. The food was average to poor - the mac and cheese was anaemic and watery, the sides of veg seemed microwaved, the cooked breakfast came in very small portions, and was badly done. We had one dodgy tummy after the fish and chips. The whole operation seemed quite lazy. For a similar price, the Gara rock hotel restaurant is in a completely different league. It's such a shame and I think the only reason why the restaurant was relatively busy was because there aren't many other options nearby. Staff at the front desk were sweet but sometimes didn't seem very 'on it', and on a couple of occasions we rang reception and didn't get an answer.

    Beautifully decorated hotel with well chosen art work and colour schemes. Fabulous sea views
    Excellent choice at breakfast well laid out buffet table with healthy fruit options. We had dinner one night and enjoyed the hake. The spa facilities are good.
    Only once we couldnt stay in the jacuzzi as our eyes were stinging due to too much chlorine additives. We reported it along with several other people and it was OK the next day. The banana plant needs attention in reception and the plant next to it was dead.

    The location, Staff and the food were exceptional Second to none...
    As we stayed for Christmas dinner the food was exceptional however we weren't offered a free glass of Champagne with the meal which would have complimented the price paid for the meal...

    Location and view the rooms were very nice .
    We found the dining and drinks area of this hotel didnt match the standard of the rooms , staff were extremely busy and it felt somewhat disorganised , we expected a better service and a higher quality restaurant . I think a hotel which is of this standard should provide quality in everything it offers , this may be trivial to some but I did not expect cheap bread and jams from the local cash and carry at the breakfast table nor to have to ask staff repeatedly for items missing from our table ie cutlery and plates .
