Guests praised the historic charm and cleanliness of Hotel Alex Johnson. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they were happy to have their pets with them. While the parking was a bit chall (Read More)enging, there were metered spots available nearby. The rooms were on the smaller side but still comfortable and well-appointed. The hotel's central location made it convenient for exploring downtown Rapid City. Overall, guests felt it was a unique and delightful hotel experience.

Very comfortable hotel location in the heart of the City.

Nice room for a family with two connecting rooms. Location in the heart of the city with impressive views from the rooftop of the hotel. Starbucks inside the hotel very convenient. Beds really comfortable.

Some itmes a bit old need some maintenance (door knob loose, etc). Rooms connect through the bathroom. No covered parking only vallet parking on the street.

Rapid City was a surprisingly good place to visit and the Hotel Alex Johnson is right in the middle of it.

Definitely will be back. Comfy beds, clean rooms, and centrally located.

Such a conveniently located hotel. Walking distance to everything downtown. Loved having the Starbucks and Paddys attached.

Wouldn't stay here for free

The room temperature couldn't be adjusted. It was a small room set permanently at 72 degrees. So uncomfortable for sleeping. Literally the smallest bathroom I have ever seen.
