    disappointing services, subpar facilities and rooms
    good location
    I contacted hotel to check about bed types. never got any response. Then they dont refund the overbooking, caused by their no response. hotel was completely out of date, like a motel.

    Efficient stay at Dorado
    Customer service is ex ceptional from the employees in the property, very helpful and always able to go the extra mile to meeting the customer's expectations.
    Rooms, maintenance is not good, some mold in the grout of the bathrooms, no water pressure at all in the the shower, not all the rooms have a refrigerator, etc.

    Loved the people and the city of Cartagena.
    The staff was amazing, very helpful, amiable, knew the area very well, offered tips for moving around the city. Everyone was so friendly.
    Clean and well situated, easy to walk to and from main attractions.

    Great location! Lovely staff. Can use pool at sister hotel. Enjoyed the breakfast every morning.

    The only thing good about this hotel is the location.
    The neighbourhood makes you feel unsafe. The facilities in the room were minimal. The towels provided were very old. Very noisy area due to having a taxi parking facility just opposite the hotel main entrance. The reception staff were not very helpful. I was not allowed to cancel the reservation done 30 minutes before my arrival. We were charged 19% tourist tax even though I presented our British Passports on arrival. The excuse was I was born in Colombia. I explained that my husband was British but refused to give us the exception because I have done the booking. The breakfast buffet didn't offer variety, and it was the same menu every day .

    The staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect, everything within walking distance.
    My only complaint is the noise, you can hear everything going on outside.
