This is an elegant and comfortable hotel and its so good having it attached to the station after a day of travelling
Its in a great location, attached to Kyoto station. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast has a good variety of western and Japanese options.
No complaints at all.

Excellent concierge services
Service from concierge was beyond expectations. Staffs responded to all questions sent before arrival. They provided us clear information to make decisions. They also provided printed information to us when we arrived.
Broken equipment (TV). We found out on check in date that our TV cannot connect to Netflix at 8 p.m. The hotel cannot fix it that night because the staff who can solve the issue was not at the hotel during that time. The hotel offered a new room but its not in a good condition as our exiting room.
We asked for the responsibility from the hotel on the check out date. No supervisor came out from back office to talk and apologize to us, just a reception who cannot make a decision. The supervisor who worked in the rooms behind the
counter just told reception to give us a candy from Kyoto anniversary as a compliment.
This is an acceptable manner from supervisors and it should not occur in hotel in Japan. As this is our fifth time to stay in the hotel and we are very disappointed on the services, we will consider this when we book the hotel on our next trip.
