We had booked a room on the 22nd based on the distance from Gulmarg which was written as 6.1 miles .But we were shocked to find that we were cheated as the hotel is located 31 kilometres away from Srinagar and was 20 kilometres away from Gulmarg .(this place is KULSAR) As we had already paid 2500 as our taxi fare from Srinagar to Gulmarg and had paid the complete room rent,we had no other alternative but to stay at GUL SITARA. We cancelled our Gondola ride which we had booked for 23rd morning as it is 20 kms away and we would have to pay a lot to reach there. The staff said that they had mentioned the correct distance to Booking .com and blamed them for writing the wrong distance. Travellers ,beware of these kinds of traps and tricks by resorts and travel apps.
