    Our worst booking on Booking.com. Upon arrival at the hotel, it turned out that other people were staying in our room. We were offered a replacement room that was much better (according to the hotel manager), which was actually much worse, just a hole. Bedroom under the roof with small window. The hotel managers were unable to resolve this situation! Booking.com could not resolve this situation! Booking.com was unable to provide a refund for this type of booking. Be careful if you decide to book this hotel - judging by the reviews, this is not the first time they have done this; other guests also had similar situations when they were placed in the same room under the roof against their will.

    Charming perfectly located family owned and run hotel. Very comfortable sizable room with balcony overlooking Positano and the beautiful pool deck. Beautifully appointed common lounge and dining areas with understated Italian elegance. Excellent breakfast with wide assortment of hot and cold choices. And the friendliest and most welcoming staff at all levels who co out of their way to make your stay meaningful. Highly appreciated.

    The most incredible stay, I hope to visit again one day. I am so pleased with the location and my room was far beyond better than I imagined. The junior suit was to die for, the view from my big beautiful balcony was so amazing. Thank you Poisedon

    Amazing property and view in a spectacular place.
    Excellent view, service, and location.
    We paid extra for a large, premium room in order to have a balcony. However, the AC system in the room turns off if you use the balcony at all. So your choice is to forego the balcony and be comfortable, or use the balcony and roast in the heat. I would not recommend paying up for the top tier rooms during season for this reason, but would recommend staying at this hotel in one of the junior rooms.

    Lovely hotel, lovely, food, lovely people.
    A beautiful authentic hotel perched on the side on the hill, the views over Positano are stunning. The breakfast offering was adequate, the quality of pastries very good. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldnt do enough for you.
    Arriving by boat with a suitcase is tricky as taxis are so far away , although there are Portas who can at (10 per suitcase) take your luggage to your hotel. Arriving from the mainland (airport) shouldnt be an issue as taxis can drop you off at the hotel entrance.

    Amazing Positano experience at Hotel Poseidon
    The hotel location, the rooms, the views, the friendly family atmosphere, the staff, the Reception Management were truly amazing and made our holiday a wonderful experience. We will definitely return to Positano and Hotel Poseidon in the future. Suzanne

    A true treasure
    The owner and her staff are something to admire - probably the best hospitality we have ever had. Nothing was too much to ask of them, very willing to go the extra mile and very friendly/polite. The location is close to many shops, restaurants, and bars, yet high enough on the hill to be away from very bustling streets. We actually ended up loving the II Tridente restaurant/bar and the amenities of our suite that we spent most of our time relaxing at the hotel.
