    Guests appreciated the friendly staff and modern ground floor at Hotel VARA. However, they found the room basic and dated, not worth the �120 price.     Very convenient for a pre Xmas family visit. Stayed with family for part of week then at Vara for 2 nights to see other
    Excellent location & friendly staff
    Light above bed not working. I reported it but nothing done. No big deal as there was also a bed side lamp.

    Good location & good accessible bathroom. Manager was chatty & we had a nice light supper in the bar
    Could have done with a larger bed, especially for an accessible room. Not a great choice for breakfast

    Perfect location and will be back
    Close proximity to the town centre but just be aware it is up hill on the way back. Staff exceptionally friendly but not overbearing.Bed comfortable and room spacious and very clean.Nice buffet breakfast

    Fine, but I won't be rushing back until they improve the sound proofing.
    The staff were friendly and accomodating
    We were not warned that our room was directly above the main bar where there was an incredibly loud function going on. Some guests were shouting and the noise kept me up, which was not ideal as I was travelling for work.

    Needs some improvement but a good location with friendly, helpful staff.
    Nice bar area, friendly staff. Short walk from town. Free onsite car park.
    Rooms need updating and the showers were very slow. Not even enough power to rinse the shampoo from your hair properly.

    Modern hotel,good location,lovely staff
    Twin room as requested but not as yet part of the refurbishment going on. Decor was very acceptable. Nice to have a blanket on each bed for extra comfort. Beds clean and comfortable. However although the room was small it was adequate for a couple of nights. En-suite shower room was small but the water was hot and powerful. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Evening pizzas were very good. Continental breakfast was enjoyable and plentiful. Parking was a boon.Loved the modern decor.We were happy enough to extend our stay from one to two nights.
    Access to upstairs rooms is via a lovely staircase but there is no lift so there are access issues. The hotel is a very short drive from Truro. It is situated on a long fairly steep hill. A reasonably easy walk down for a fit person . Not a suitable walk for anyone with mobility issues. The hotel is developing as a meeting room venue. It will be important not to overlook the needs of residential guests in favour of work groups
