    The Hyatt Place Grand Rapids Downtown offers excellent service, comfortable and clean rooms, and helpful staff. The location is convenient, with many attractions within walking distance. Some guests (Read More)recommend asking for a room with a view to avoid having a view of a brick wall. The breakfast buffet is great, and the bar staff is friendly. The only drawback is the lack of free parking, but the paid parking option allows for convenient coming and going. Overall, it's a great hotel for a stay in downtown Grand Rapids.

    Walking distance to everything
    I left a pair of shoes and immediately contacted the hotel. They said no problem your room has not been cleaned. No one called me back. I called everyday for five days. They said they were still locating the shoes and never called me back.

    Perfect place for downtown
    The location of the hotel was perfect for walking around downtown. The room was so spacious and incredibly clean. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was super clean. Loved that you had to use your room key to even get into the lobby. That felt very safe. Would Definitely stay here again.

    Excellent location, easy walk to lots of restaurants , etc., comfortable bed, good shower (and love that shampoo, conditioner and body wash were in environmentally friendly pump bottles); AC that didnt make too much noise
    Parking was quirky and slightly confusing

    The breakfast options were good and the food was delicious.
    I did not realize that I had reserved a handicap room and the front desk was unable to accommodate. The toilet in our original room (with a king bed) was not working and we had two options: stay in the room with the broken toilet or move to a room with two queen beds. We had a nice view of a brick wall...
