The condition of the room was not good at all. Smelled like mold, very old, carpet was dirty, stains on the towels, stains on the bedsheets, bathroom not clean, old tub with moldy curtain, dark, office desk so small I would never have been able to work from there, and overall a terrible room. As a result, right after checking in, I went downstairs to see what my options were in terms of an early or same day check out. I explained to them plans had changed, which they said they understood, and would not charge me for the night, for the stay, or a penalty - and that I would only be charged for the amenity fees for that one night - which I said that was ok. Based on this information, I proceeded to pay for the amenity fee, was given a receipt which shows the same day check in and check out and the only charge in my corporate card would be the small amenity fee, checked out and look for another hotel. They are now charging me for an entire nights stay, taking no responsibility for the fact that their staff gave me misinformation (when I called a few days later once I had seen the charge, I spoke to Chris Grear - Front Desk Supervisor, who other than being extremely rude and disrespectful, pretty much said he didn't care what I had been told before, that they would go by policy and I would not get refunded for the charge), and I am now having to explain to my employer why I have two different hotel charges for the same night on our corporate credit card. If I would have known of the one night charge, I would have endured sleeping in that room for one night, and would have transferred until the next day. This hotel has a very nice lobby, but based on the conditions of their rooms, their bathrooms, and the treatment I received by Chris Grier - their front desk supervisor - person who I spoke with days later once I saw the charge and completely took no responsibility for what the misinformation I was provided, I would never again stay in this hotel.
