    The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the rooms have either a huge stone bath on the balcony or their own infinity pools looking out over the forest. The staff are super friendly and really couldn't do more for you. The restaurant has a decent selection of options.
    Not really a negative but be warned, getting into Ubud requires either a taxi via a fairly busy/congested winding road or a 20 - 30 min hike along the nearby ridge (which is a tourist attraction in its own right). The walk is paved (you can do it in sandals or flip flops) and the views are insanely beautiful but humidity in the afternoon can reach 80-90% so coming back up can be a bit harsh. Take water with you, you'll need it.

    we had an amazing holiday in family the hotel is beautiful, the staff, the food, we had the suites with private pool view to the jungle, we loved it !the location is good 15 min to the city , we ll definitely come back!

    the staff were pleasant and friendly. i had my period and they gave me some emergency sanitary pads which i was very grateful. rooms are spacious but more suited for couples as there are no doors to the bathroom, and only a see through glass door for the toilet. love the super king sized bed and the huge bath tub overlooking the forest.
    However the bath tub is not secluded enough and i had to wear swimsuit. neighbours can see me in my bathtub when i stand up. better if it was designed in such a way that we are able to really take a bath in it with total privacy yet not sacrifice the openness n view of nature.

    The staff were super friendly, couldn't do enough for us. They arranged a floating breakfast for us and taxis into Ubud centre, just a 10/15-minute ride. The pool, views and outdoor areas are breathtaking, the photos do not do it justice. There were plenty of sunbeds available. We attended a free morning yoga session and each enjoyed a complimentary 15-minute massage (heaven). The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean and had every facility needed. I was expecting a balcony but didn't expect the balcony to have an enormous bath with a view, not sure the website made this clear so it was an unexpected surprise. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. All in all our Xmas at Kastara exceeded expectations.

    An unforgattablw dreamy place to stay
    The property was just stunning. Everything about it was beautiful and so beautifully curated and designed.
    Maybe just the tv in the room. Understandable that many guests would like this, but we felt it was out of place and we in particular wanted to get away from devices

    Beautiful luxury place!
    The hotel is very beautiful in every detail. The bathroom in the balcony with the jungle view, infinity pool, great restaurant with different night shows, breakfasts with live music. The room is big, a fruit basket as a present! Free Morning yoga classes, though very short - about 30 minutes.
    The location is not central. actually, this is a village near Ubud. But it is so silent due to it! You can sleep as a child there! No happy hours for the drinks, that is why we ate out almost every evening. No pickup for Grab/Gojek.

    Everything. The food was great. The rooms were lovely and spacious its a nice retreat in the jungle.
    The gym could have had more equipment a smiths machine covers all the core requirements so maybe that.
