    A decent but not exceptional hotel in a very good spot for all exploring.
    Location, pleasant room decor, very comfortable bed.
    There should be tea/coffee making facilities in room as standard. The bathroom is very small and the bath is too short. The breakfast buffet is not great

    Great location, and pet friendly.
    This hotel was in the prefect location. Very walkable to many restaurants, across the street from the river walk and close to Millennium Park.
    During our stay the main lobby was under construction. This limited the already sparse amenities. It is also a dog friendly hotel, which was a big plus, but the closest area for pet relief was at the Riverwalk across two busy streets.

    Fabulous rooms, I just find it hard to recommend it with my personal experience
    The room was lovely and one member of staff was so helpful as I had to cut my stay short and travel for a funeral; he was brilliant.
    At the price I paid for this hotel the least I expected was a kettle in the room or some way of making coffee... there wasn't! I was staying for the marathon and I was told that the hotel was busy and "all the kettles have already been allocated to the marathon runners" When I told the person at check-in that I too was running the marathon and I found it hard to believe that I was paying $640 a night for a hotel room without a kettle, she just repeated the same thing and said she could provide me with a microwave to heat up water to make coffee, but that this was on a first come, first served basis. Then asked if I wanted to cancel the booking because I wasn't happy with the hotel! I've stayed in some of the best and some of the cheapest hotels and the only other place I've not had a kettle in my room was in the Bellagio in Vegas... so I went to Walmart and bought one for $15! Sometimes it's the little things, like someone's attitude or having a kettle in your room that you've paid a fortune for!

    This is my favorite hotel in Chicago.
    The room is fantastic.the bed and pillows are the best anywhere I have been. Breakfast was good, great variety and super nice attendant.
    Remodeling was being completed so the lobby is gone but it was a short stay so not a huge deal.

    Didn't live up to Kimpton standards.
    Location was great.
    The hotel is under construction, which is not mentioned anywhere on the website. Tiny little lobby, not at all what the photos on the website show. No hotel bar or restaurant. Breakfast buffet ($23!!) was served in one of the conference rooms on the 3rd floor and was what one typically finds in a budget motel, not at a hip and modern Kimpton in the middle of Chicago. No coffee maker in the rooms. No discount on rooms on account of lack of amenities. Maybe it will be a fabulous 4-star hotel in Spring of 2024 when the construction is done, but it isn't now at all. Plenty other hotels within walking distance that offer more for the same cost. The location is great however.
