I went looking for a safe space to disconnect and recharge - while it may not be everyone's cup of tea - my stay certainly fulfilled the brief.
The Dassie Chalet's were outfitted with 2 USB-A ports to keep your a few of your devices charged from the solar battery, but you really shouldn't go packing anything needing a regular 2 or 3-prong plug, you won't find one.
There were a few smaller hatchbacks around the neighboring campsites so the road in is very manageable - just be warned there is just a slight hill climb before getting to reception.
The place is amazing for getting yourself lost in a book, but the energy-efficient LED's don't make for the best night-time reading experience.

Furniture made from local wood was very clever and added to the ambience. Dion and all staff were friendly and unobtrusive

Beautiful scenery and so peaceful, with lovely walks from the back door. The outdoor shower was a treat! The road in was a bit rougher than expected so a car with good clearance was useful but no 4x4 necessary.

This is the perfect venue if you like living close to nature
Luxury living very close to nature, small game in the kloof. The self catering facilities are gas and 12V DC, venue not affected by load shedding.
The accommodation is better suited to visitors who does not want to travel in and out visiting other places due to travelling through a number of farms and opening and closing 6 gates.
