    Wonderful.
    This is one review I kind of dont want to write as we want to keep this gem to ourselves. The place is utterly fantastic. From the location right by a marvelous beach, to the bungalows with their own rooftop terrace, to the wonderful staff who simply could not have been more helpful, I simply cant find anything negative to say. Bravo.

    Beautiful bungalows, amazing staff, great location!
    The bungalows are spacious, clean and its in a great location, on one of the best beaches on the island, where you get a great view of the sunset. The rooftop bar is also great vibes.
    Theres nothing not to like, however, there was a party at the bar next to the resort on one of the evenings. The music was pumping until around 3.30am, which kept us both up the bass was literally shaking the room. Very annoying after a long day of travelling but nothing the hotel couldve done unfortunately.

    Best stay on Koh Mak
    Absolutely fantastic. Superb location right by the (most beautiful beach) on the island, very well maintained and clean, spacious bungalows, great sport facilities (tennis, ping pong, gym access), the most lovely and kind staff, and very delicious food. Also excellent masseuse. Overall highly, highly recommend!

    Extraordinary staff / beautiful spot / but you MUST take sandfly precautions seriously!
    Extraordinarily friendly and attentive staff. It must be mentioned that they were a highlight of the stay. Lovely beachfront location. Spacious villa. Food was absolutely delicious. And did I mention the wonderful staff?
    It must be said that we experienced extreme sand flies at this property (which I understand tends to happen on remote beaches). The bites were so bad and so numerous (more than 60) that we ultimately cut short the trip. Apparently coconut oil and DEET helps prevent. But it was so very bad that I need to forewarn people to take these precautions. More could be done on the upper deck of each villa to make it a comfortable place to spend time. Its wasted as it is but has so much potential

    A laid back stay in a beautiful location with super friendly staff
    The staff here are all amazing. We had a scooter crash and had to go to the medical centre and the team were so accommodating and friendly, driving us to the centre, waiting with us, and then regularly checking in throughout our stay to see how we were. Beautiful secluded location surrounded by trees and birds. Love that you can snorkel and see lots of fish from the beach right in front of the hotel. Huge room and bathroom. Great food at the on-site restaurant
    Koh Mak is super quiet with nothing to do in the evenings - we were usually the last people eating at 7:30/8pm. Not a bad thing if this is what you are looking for, but make sure to pack enough books and card games! The rooms are a little dated

    Absolutely my favorite location so far this trip.
    Excellent breakfast, but would have been nice to have a prepay for breakfast option when booking.staff was awesome very friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Mouy at reception with all your help booking boat transfer to Koh Chiang for us. Also found Go Go very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. Beach was very peaceful and serine. Pool facilities were exelent. Like that the resort is very enviromentaly conscious in there attempts to reduce the use of plastics. Would definitely return in the future, my favorite stop so far on this trip.
    I have absolutely noting negative to say about this resort. From the staff to the facilities and room, every thing exeeded expectation.
